Post a pic of both turbos. There is about 5 different turbos that have been on the trucks, it never hurts to confirm. If a turbo from a 5ton was put on one of the trucks, you may need different intake/exhaust connections.
After cutting for the spare tire carrier, make a channel to cover the gap and bolt in place to aid in structural intergrity. You'll have to pull a bunch of tools out to change the tire anyway, whats 2 more bolts?
Honestly
Id go through the hubs. I swapped all new parts in not 10yrs ago and have had 3 wheel cyls go bad on me. Ive also see the studs the brake shoes float on get loose on other trucks.
Well, I had my injection pump out to put a new one in. While it was out, I decided to install the new steering column, and what a huge pita that was. If your going to work on the IP, I'd pull it so you can sit at a work bench. If its leaking as bad as you say, I doubt you'll find an electric...
Yes that should be the vent line for the brakes and fuel tank. No it should not be crimped. Is it going to the air compressor governor or is it just hooked by the air filter? A pic would help a lot. They are supposed to have a vent cap like the trans and transfer case have.
It got pretty muddy Sunday morning leaving as it had rained all night and morning. They had to hook 4 mowers up to the front in order to get it all the way up!
(Just kidding about the mowers)
As always, it was great to see you guys again! Sorry to hear about the problem with the fuel lines, it always sucks to be worn out from an event and have to fix your ride in addition to being tired.
If its a DB2 injection pump, I'd have a Stanadyne certified shop rebuild it, or see if a shop near you has one available. Might even place a wanted ad in the classifieds to see if someone has one sitting on the shelf.
