"Memorable". Now THAT is a choice word for the occasion.
I've got to remember it. It's THE way to describe anything you survive that you might not expect to otherwise.
You're made of good stuff, tim292. [thumbzup]
The fun, and the laughter, always comes quicker if it happens to the other guy instead of you.
But, give your buddy time; he'll probably be able to laugh about it; I mean, you know, after the sting goes away in a year or two. :naner:
We had lots of those guys in Basic at Great Lakes; it scrambled up a lot of our marching drills:
- The "Other Left" crowd
But, it all works out (you know +/-).
Maybe it's a lesson-learned here:
- They can't be tightened and forgotten.
I'm guessing wheel nuts are always going to be susceptible to moving, and maybe we should all treat them that way.
Nothing to lose if you do.
But a whole LOT to lose if you don't (including the whole wheel; NOT good)...
I drifted off a wee-bit here, but that's really great to know. [thumbzup]
My cousin was killed in a tractor accident on a farm he worked here in VA, the summer after his first year there.
So in a way, this little note here is a prayer to him. Amen.
And now back to the regularly scheduled...
Hey, rustystud, is all of that kind of regular fall weather for you all out there?
Seattle and around there is a rainy place in the fall if I remember right. My brother lived out there for a couple years.
Or is this more nasty/ miserable than normal!?
That's a killer combination you got, and both (M37 and M101) in near mint condition; excellent.
And I'm really liking the Civil Defense sticker. That's great.
I had a cousin went to a college out there, specialized in outdoor skills. Pretty cool idea.
It was kind of an alternate school for those kids who weren't suited for the conventional programs.
In fact, Prescott College it was called I think. Is it still out there; ever hear of it?
Now THAT is a good friend to have. Sweet.
I'm going to suggest you at least take him some cookies every Christmas (you know: to keep him on your good side)!
You got a good looking truck there for sure, Assel, and the camo job suits it perfectly.
I'm noticing that the timber stands out your way aren't much in the way of mature really (I don't think there's a tree in the bunch looking much older than 20 years or so). Is all the forest out that way...
You're not the first or the only one to slip off the trail; I've done it more than I like to admit.
And if we didn't occasionally then, shoot, the Mods here would all likely just fall asleep, so it probably all works out.
Considering the quality and professionalism of the work:
- It sure seems fair to me.
And I'd call the two-day turn around a bonus; worth keeping their business card.
