As someone thats used both, there is no comparison, go hydraulic. I've used one like in the 2nd link. Never seen the one in the 1st.

DH and I know of an event where a minivan ran into an m101(pulled by an m109) cause he wasn't paying attention. He knocked the bed clean off the m101's frame(along with everything in the bed of the m101). We decided it would make a nice "crumple zone" for an MV.

I have Delphi in my 2000 chevy dually 6.5 and they run very well.

Crimony, I can't imagine how many trips it would take to move my shop, or better yet--- how much it would weigh. Just tools, no mv parts, those are stored elsewhere. WOW just imagine packing up all your tools. Imagine the effort involved!
