Wait a minute:
- You're kidding here, right?
- There are forests in Kansas!?
I got stuck off the side of the road for 24-hours once in Salinas as a kid, hitchhiking from D.C.-to-Boulder (hitchhiking; yeah I know, a long time ago).
I'm an East Coast/ Mid-Atlantic "sailor"; real used to...
I can't tell if i'm reading your picture right, SgtHaas, but:
- It looks like you eased (or rounded-off) the edges of your cuts
Is that right? Or is that just how the edges finished up after the cuts (like why would you bother, right)?
So, I'm sort of asking: what did you use to make the cuts?
Hey, this might be fun:
- in a few days there's a chance we hear from somebody who read Post #736, but didn't get to Post #738.
- that kind of thing has potential for comedy (I mean, you know, for us; not for them; they'll be swearing a blue streak)
Time will tell.
Those automobiles from the 60's, those were real CARS; hard not to love 'em:
- Good Ol' Solid Detroit Steel
Love to see a photo of that item if possible when you finish. Oh, Please!?
I like the storage "tray" detail on the lid/top:
- A few bungees criss-crossed across the top of that, and you got additional storage (like for tarps. or a work-mat, that kind of thing).
That's pretty slick.
You know I'm thinking I heard somewhere that there is a safety reason behind the reverse-threads, something to do with loosening by rotation.
Anybody know the story (IF there is one)?
Agreed; only wish we had Ascension around here.
Luckily still got one old school mom-and-pop hardware store near here (Cherrydale in Arlington), for individual loose hardware.
