My M1165A1 clocked in at 7340 and I imagine your two piece rims and inserts (vs my one piece steel rim and 17" tire), brush guard and flying nun roof account for the 600 pound difference in weight.

I paid around $1100 for my used but serviceable carrier in 2021.

The seats fold up and it makes a decent cargo carrier. But the backs of the troop seats are not too strong so make sure the load is secured to the bed.

My regular exhaust does a pretty good job of marking the bay floor and my Tahoe . . . I really need to hook up some kind of exhaust hose to remove the fumes outside the garage when I start.

A bittersweet passage earlier today. 45 miles across the mountain roads then 70 miles back on the highway for what will be the last off-road trip of the year. Snow is already piling up at the 9,000 foot mark. But beautiful weather today and a really nice trip for a Wednesday.

Just wanted to say I love my 1152A1 - I find it extremely useful as a longer bed pickup than my 1165A1. I use it to move a lot of stuff including my snowmobile in winter. My only criticism is the front seat is a little cramped for a tall guy like me. I hope you will enjoy your own as much!

I don't think there's been any advancements in oil filter tech since this thread came out a few years ago.

That's weird - my winch is pretty new, only 6 months old. They must have altered. Or it might be because you got the synthetic. (That's definitely more practical, but doesn't look as good as steel cable!) Can you rotate the motor like you can the gearbox? That might solve your fitment issues.

You just need to order the 3 meter snorkels, and a set of scuba gear - problem solved.
