    3D printing section request

For someone who looks at 3D printing as space wizardry, I am very excited that replacement parts or improvement parts made from unobtainium could perhaps be designed and manufactured by our very own group here! I have nada to contribute on the technical/CAD front but would sure be willing to...

    starting question

I would add: You can put a pressure gauge where the T fitting is on top of the fuel tank. With the in-tank-pump running, you should see around 5-7 psi there. I left my gauge plumbed in because.....I can. I like the visual that the pump is working when I do my walkaround inspection. If you put a...

anyone install a lockout hub on a rear axle?

@montaillou If you had had a centre axle lockout, you would have locked that in very gingerly at that point, I suppose! The parking brake better work! I also read a reply from a forum member that got hung up in a parking lot on the speed bumps and was unable to traverse without locking the axle...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

If by "dust injector hose" you mean the heater hose/duct, then vendors such as Erik's have the right stuff, also https://www.aircraftspruce.ca/search/search.php?s=air%20duct By the way, when you have the heater out, you can actually shorten the box to make it take up less space!

    M35A2 cloth top

Not sure whether you mean the cab cover or the cargo cover. If it is the latter..... https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/lashing-down-cargo-cover-how-many-feet-of-super-rope-are-needed.71503/

    M35A2 Low gear issue

Interesting history. Thank you @BKubu for asking what I was thinking! General Kaiser, how do you deal with the spare parts issue? It cannot be easy to find parts for your truck?

    M35A2 Low gear issue

@General Kaiser Ok, here is the good news: - you have evidence of what is wrong with the transfer case - the shrapnel looks very much like a chewed up bearing - chances are, there is nothing else wrong with the TC (i.e. gears are ok; specialty parts that are not off-the-shelf are ok) - removing...

    Major rust repair help/ideas.

The truck is great for a welding moron like me to practice and improve! Worse welding = more grinding

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Can't help with the CTIS, but the heater core is a cute mini radiator, full metal, no plastic. There are fabric strips to prevent chafing on the steel housing . The core may have vibrated through the fabric and sprung a leak. In any case, you can simply solder it! I used rubber strips I cut from...

Hard Fuel Line Leak at Hydraulic Head

I suggest to loosen and re-tighten (not over-tighten) the fuel line at the head. Also, wipe the head dry and check for cracks. That may be difficult if you still have the aluminium plate on top with the line numbers. No tricks to loosening/removing the hard line. I suggest spraying the fittings...

    M-series flasher relay - civvy conversion how-to

I have to drop the fuel tank

If it is that cruddy, consider dropping it off at a tank and radiator shop that will boil it out. When it is spotless, coat the inside with one of the commercial tank lining products. As for in tank pump: a gauge at the elbow above the tank; in tank pump should give around 5-7 psi. If you...

Rims and Tires, Tubes and Flaps

My recommendation is 11.00R20 or 12.00R20 dual or singles (as you prefer). The 9.00-20 are unnecessarily small. The tubes cover a few tire sizes. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

It would be great if someone had a source and a parts number for these bushings.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

@Aussie Bloke Yes, I do understand that traction comes from the tires interacting with the ground, ultimately. My question was intended to explore how much effect the larger/coarse treaded/heavier tires had by themselves (by grabbing the ground and not needing a locker) versus the locker...
