Just for reference, it only costs about $20 to do the relay improvement and takes about 30 min. I would guess the cost to repair a burnt starter,new bolts, bracket if needed, bad relay and a few fusible links would be close to $200 if not a tad more. And it probably takes a few hours and some...

Quick simple answer is, they don't track worth a darn on loose ground. Get it on black-top, swing wide and all should be well. A passenger ready to jump out and correct the steering, is a good idea.

I would opt to drian and clean the tank, before adding new diesel. Open your petcock on the secondary filter housing. I bet it flows slowly.

The headlights and other normal lights only work in one position(service drive). You do understand how to set the switch to that position, right? Is this a new problem? Is this your first experience with a CUCV?
