    M1008 buzzing bed

Yeah that's nuts plus you don't really need all the tech that it provides...I'll look through some of my surplus guys and see if they have any.

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

I've bought several sets of tires for at least 6 different cars and trucks I own or past on now from treadwright. I have had 0 problems with any of them...put them on the blazer and the truck too. They ship very fast with no extra charges. I like that they have 3 different types of each to...

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

I'm surprised that they have the parts in stock for that!! Imagine how many they need just by looking at that recall number. Must be a fun job too at that much hour billed vs 2wd and 4wd! I'll pass on that warranty work! Have fun with the new old daily driver.

CUCV Heaven, My build of a 1009 and 1008

I didn't take it apart yet, the 12 volt side did get key start power and the responding side did not close so the 12 volt side failed which is crazy weird. The relay was barely a year old and only really used the last 4 months!! The higher voltage while running is only a volt or so and...

    M1008 buzzing bed

My exhaust buzzes pretty bad probably because it's rusted inside but the bed sides will buzz some if the idle hits a certain speed on mine too but it's mostly the muffler on mine. As far as the balancer goes you are right that the gm replacement is not around right now and not sure if it will...

CUCV Heaven, My build of a 1009 and 1008

So today the ol blazer did a fail...well kinda...he was trying to grab his book bag out of the back with his right hand while trying to shut the engine off with his left...he had to show me because I couldn't see how to bend that way...anyhow instead of shutting it off he pushed forward and made...

CUCV M1009: Is it 3 OR 4 Outlets for Fuel Tank Sending Unit??

I'd try one thing before replacing it is the strap ground that connects to the sending unit to the frame...those like to rust up on both ends...the one on the frame is pretty easy to get to the one on the sender not so much...can do a voltage drop on the wire though and see if it's ok. You can...

    Mep 802A Fuel Filter leaking.

The fees do drive me nuts sometimes...I looked at what they're doing out here in Pa and around 1200 to 2500 with or without a trailer is about average with under 500 hours...they get tons here though so I think they don't bring as much but I could be wrong on that. I only live 45 miles from the...

    M1008 Starter problems

I use a long screwdriver or a prybar and cup the end with my hand to make a speaker that finds all kinds of noises especially when you hit a fan blade or belt...haven't lost any parts off me yet doing that but probably will someday. As far as the belt goes if the adjusting loop is maxed out...

    Another CUCV Alternator question

That's great news! So the low gen 1 light was from the alternator...interesting. Yes batteries are one expensive part for these since they need to be big and high ca...not sure if you're around a military base but there are battery distributors near them that stock the 6tm battery if you can...

NOCO Charger Question - MEP-803A w/Optima Red Tops

looking at the picture above repair mode is 1.5 amps....get it on the charge mode of 7.2 amps and see if that brings it up...1.5 amps is just a float charge.

CUCV Heaven, My build of a 1009 and 1008

Today was replace the power steering pump day...new belts and return lines too. The return lines are aeroquipe blue...bled out fast and works great! That old one leaked pretty bad. Wasn't that tough to do but I wish I had a fresh resouvuior to replace it with...the old one is pretty beat up. I...

CUCV Heaven, My build of a 1009 and 1008

Got a few 2 drawer mosler safes the other day...400 lbs each! Gonna mount one in his blazer for tool storage and the other went in his room!! We'll be drilling and bolting it to the frame Sunday!! Got his rt524 on top...Still looking for a rear mount for it if anyone has one!! Sent from my...

Adding fuel tank on cucv m1028

ok having a guage for each does make it easier to do! as far as what wire goes to what not sure. I think I see 6 wires on the plug to the fuel transfer switch...I'd have to go on a site for non cucv wiring for gm and find the schematic. I think there's a site called classic wiring?? might...

CUCV Heaven, My build of a 1009 and 1008

So the madness continues as he now looks for parts we don't need...an engine that had low miles on it before it was parted out...was sad to see the blazer get scrapped but at least he got the engine out of it. The NOS block heater has been working great too. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk

    M1008 Starter problems

You need to jack up the frame with the bumper not the axles...need room between the axle and frame to get it out...if you lift the axles there won't be room...I use a trail bumper jack to lift it quick on the grill guard to get them out...only takes few inches so the axles are still on the...

Adding fuel tank on cucv m1028

I think the fuel valve has a feed and return line for each tank so that's pretty simple...the wiring from the switch is a little more challenging if you want the fuel gauge to indicate for each tank...if you just do one tank for the gauge it would be very simple...from the switch to the valve.
