Can't say I've heard of different fenders before, but I've only been in the A1 world for about 10 years.
To me, that pre-filter just looks a little oversized.
This is an older shot from last year.
Heck, from what I've noticed, finding the ammo racks is the hard part! I got tired of waiting for a spare carrier to show itself, so I just made one lol.
Thank-you! And as for incomplete, I'm trying to get the logistics figured out to take my 52 as well, it's definitely rough, and not complete. Mostly missing the 106! 🤣
I'm condensing again lol. The MVPA convention is coming up in a couple of weeks and I'm within an hour, so I'm going one way or the other. That being said, I decided maybe now was a good time to finally get some color laid down on the '53. A couple weeks ago I started the process of tearing...
I sure wish I could muster up the motivation to paint my '53. MVPA convention coming up quick, I'm an hour from Des Moines, and plan on attending. Think that should be enough, but nope, just not there lol!
Great job on yours!
If the hooks had been taken off before civvy life, not much of a choice there.
And the part about undoing someone else's work....no truer words have been spoke! 🤣 This was what I dealt with! I don't recall if I've posted this pic before, but I couldn't believe how thick it was! They'd made an...
First off, thanks! Secondly, my guess is going to lean towards its wrinkled because of being pulled from the center. As you can see by my picture, it's no longer straight, or even close lol!
It's not really rough or cut bad, it's wrinkled from the bowing is all. It does have chew marks on the...
Pintle cleaned, painted and installed.
Next up, exhaust. Ripped off the CJ appearing system, ordered midpipe and muffler and failed to check the downpipe. It was in good shape with the exception of the missing flange which I completely overlooked. Those of you with keen eyes will see what I...
Bumperettes are on, lift shackles on and the taillights are no longer yellow! Hammered out some wrinkles and filled some of the extra holes.
I have a buddy that will be sending me a pintle hitch soon, so that will wrap up work on the tail once that's on.
I can tell there's still a bow to...
How about what I've done to my Jeep in the last week?
Way too much to write now, so I'll sum up lol. Went to replace a damaged bumperette on the '52C and ended up putting in a whole new crossmember! Somewhere along the way, this old horse backed into something way more stout than it, buckling...
After almost six months, I finally pulled the voltage regulator out last week, popped the top off and found this:
Guess I can understand why the charging system wasn't functioning correctly now.
Ordered a new one, got it in this evening, and wouldn't ya know it, it finally has more than 23...
So, last week I decided to pull the regulator off. As I stood up with the reg in my hands, I caught a whiff of fried electrical. Took the cover off and found this:
It's now all good, got a new one swapped in, even stuck the old government plate on!
