Has anyone ever made their own cargo bows and stakes? I'd like to try my hand at it if I can find measurements somewhere. Failing measurements I guess I'll have to find someone selling them and get measurements from there.

I took a busted 5053A transmission out of my truck, and I've been calling around to local junk yards and truck places looking for a new one, and one place said they have a 6453. Will this transmission fit, or is it for a five ton? What's the difference between the two? I think I read somewhere...
