I for the life of me cannot remember if the voltage gauge always reads even with the key off. If it's supposed to stop reading does anyone know where to start looking? I appreciate the help very much.
anyone here ever install a military style oil pressure gauge (24v) in a cucv? Can I get the 24v from the volt meter? I have the sensor and the gauge. It will be located right next to the volt meter. thanks
Hi everyone, I just received a couple of 6.2's in cans and I'd like to test run them. My question is can I plug the oil cooler fittings or should I run a hose between them before firing them up? Any other suggestions would be great!! thanks very much!!
Has anyone here used fastrack logistics for P/U and delivery? My EUC cleared last week for a couple of 6.2's out of Columbus and I contacted them to deliver them here in Syracuse. Hope I did the right thing!!
got a funny ticking noise in my 1009. under light load it sounds like a ticking exhaust manifold leak but its not. Under highway speeds it quiets down. IP timing is right on the money, all cylinders fire. IP is only less than a year old. Any ideas?
Has anyone here come up with a fix for these carburetor floats? I have a couple of these engines and the floats are not very compatible with this new gasoline. I'm also out of good floats and no one seems to have them. thanks
Went on the ride on NY route 38 yesterday. Lots of military vehicles, motorcycles. The ride was around 90 miles, got a few photos for everyone. Glad to see them rename the highway " the vietnam memorial highway of valor". Thanks to everyone that attended!!!
In July 2009 Gov. Patterson signed into law for the first time and only time in NYS, a state hwy dedicated to the men and women wno served in Vietnam. NYS Route 38 will now be designated as the Vietnam Veterans Highway of Valor.
A police escorted Tribute Ride has been planned on October...

Does anyone know what these bucket seats were originally designed for? I ordered some seat covers for a 84 full size blazer and they are way to large. I wonder if Chevrolet put S-10 bucket seats in them :?::?:
Morning all, I won a m101 last night, good shape. If I have to change the bulbs for 12 volt m1009 stop/taillights, should I bring with me 1157's. Thanks very much
Just got around to posting my "new" 1009. Picked it up in May this year at Lakehurst, put a windshield in it. (I cracked it) Sorry it's tinted, same price so why not!! Put new exhaust last week, thanks Mike!! Runs good!!
Back in 1971-72 I worked at Udorn in an outfit called DET1,56SOW. I helped maintain the T-28 aircraft that we gave to the laotian and Cambodian people.Yes, this was "Air America." The truck in the picture was one of three junkers behind the hanger we worked in. they belonged to JUSMAG. I took it...
I'd like to get a new (rebuilt) set of injectors for my 6.2 but everybody asks if they are coarse thread or fine thread. Anyone know if the J code engine is coarse or fine? How about a good source for the injectors? E-bay maybe? thanks much
Hi, anyone got a source for driver seat foam and cover for a 1009? Typical seat bottom. I think they are just "hog ringed" on so being a do-it-yourselfer I'd like to tackle this. thanks very much!!
