i have an MEP 003A that runs strong and carry a resistive load fine but it won't start the ac condenser unit. the main breaker trips instantaneously. i installed a soft start on the unit but it made no difference. i read the whole thread about the main breakers and have done a little work to...
had a little ice storm this week and had to get the 002A out of the shed. it has been running perfect in every way until now when i start it up and check the battery charge all is fine at 26.2 volts for about 10 min then it creeps up to 33 volts. could this be a ground issue? or is the DC VR...
there is a local to me Kubota GL11000 either a 10K or 11K series II generator for sale pretty cheap. the owner says he had the unit in storage no mice. and when he started it to give it a monthly run the battery light flashed and the big gen quit producing power. has anyone here any experience...
needed some mobile electric power today to run a grinder and cut off tool. picked up the baby 015A put it in the back of the UTV and off to work. ran for about three hours and got the job done. gotta love the baby generator
the gauge on the control panel on my 802a always registers a few amp and is overcharging the battery's. my question is the voltage regulator on the battery charging alternator adjustable or do i need to just replace it? Thanks
i have been fooling around some with my 802A with 4400 hours. when i start it and run it for about 8 to 10 minutes with no load the coolent temp will read about 140 with ambient temp about 70 degrees F. oil temp is about 100 and both exhaust ports checked with a laser thermometer are real close...
yup having a couple days of freezing rain. really not much build up yet but the power is blinking. maybe gonna have to get the 002A out of the shed.:-)
now that i have joined the ranks of 802A-803A owners i have been searching for more info and mods/procedures and the other owner observations and remedy for this series of generators. i vote for a STICKY that we can use to quick find some for the new owners. please
I am looking at an 802A with almost 4000 hours on it everything works and it produces power. any advice as what to look for? what would you pay for such a unit. it looks complete no dents and the rain flap is still there. just an average looking 802a
was thinking of replacing my 002A with a newer unit from GL. anyone know what they are going for aprox? any advice? i have never done the GL auction before. what about shipping?
can someone confirm for me that the J10 plug on the lower control box on an 003a is the two wires that carry 24 VDC to the generator to excite the generator?
I am shopping for some new batteries for my MEP 002A and 003A generators. I have found that the AGM type battery out perform flooded lead acid battery especially when just sitting. they don't discharge as fast and have more capacity than the lead acid battery. the only problem i have found is...
I am no expert so let me know if i figured this correct. to figure the KVA of my MEP 002A i first took 240 volts x 26 amps x 1.732 constant then divided by 1000 240x26x1.732 divide 1000 =10.80 so my little 002a is 10 kva? right?
I think i need some new Vibration dampeners for my MEP 002A. the control box shakes more than it should. i temp fixed the problem by doubling over some soft rubber tarp straps and wedging them between the box and frame. anyone know who carries these parts?
