    Anything to avoid when looking to purchase?

    I am looking to purchase a deuce as a project for my father and I. Is there anything I need to look for or to avoid? This will be a surprise for my father,he is a Ret.SGM and I would like to avoid asking him. I hope to find one that runs well and only needs some minor work.
