might have so adjust some spring perches depending on what dodge axles your after. grab some gm axles that have the higher gear ratio.

as far as gear ration goes, id try to go for 4.10's, there a great all around ratio, you should take a few min. and look up a gear ratio chart, it will answer a lot of your questions. and for the wheel size, when it comes to chevy axles, a 15" rim will fit on all 1/2, 3/4, and 1 ton axles...

life will be much easier with a hub nut socket, trust me! Also, I have never EVER seen a bad kingpin, they are a pain to replace, so make sure its bad before you remove it, i know that they are torqued down extremely tight.

not to bad. you are going to have quite a variety of new u-joints that you can buy and install. be sure not to buy cheap schucks ujoints, DANA/SPICER is the way to go, non-grease-able is stronger, but i guarantee that is what you have and if you could have greased them then they would have...

your right about the rear, they are all 2.5" wide but come in a variety of lengths, 52", 56", etc. a lot of people put the 52" springs up front and get excellent suspension travel.

ALL 1973 to 1987 chevy springs are the same! width(2.5") and length(46"), i have never heard of moving spring perches, i just swapped a dana 60 into a friends 74 blazer and it was a direct bolt it, the axle came from a 1986 crew cab 1 ton. the only difference between a d60 and a 10 bolt/ 12...

i agree that the semi float will work, but what do you mean swapping 1tons is more work??? i can think of u-joint and u-bolts, and you may require new of both no matter what axles you swap in, some axles have different yoke sizes.

find a chevy one ton and swap out for the 14ff and the d60, or better yet find a beat to **** 1008 or 1028 and rob ones with the 4.56's and a detroit. with the 6.2 and cucv 1tons you will never break anything as long as you do maintenance, i.e. u joints, kingpin spring and bushing if there is...

So when the truck is at idle i get a drip of diesel every second or 2, not a diesel guy, but ill try to explain, there looks to be 4 hard fuel lines coming down from each side of the block, I'm assuming that they are routed to the injectors, the drip seems to be coming from flare nut that holds...

i cut the exhaust off before the mufflers and put on some 2 1/2" pipes that kickdown infront of the rear tires, its seems pretty peppy and **** loud too.

no duel tanks, i robbed the bed from another truck, this is what it looked like when i bought it.

6 inch springs up front, one inch zero rates up front, shackle flip and 2inch blocks in the rear. fender trimming and some 42's

why would you have to flip the ''u'' bolts? you can have any spring shop make them square or round.

just buy some zero rates for the front, that is what they are ment for.
