Are you sure its leaking at the drain? I just had to replace my housing with a spin on unit as the original was leaking (Bad) from the sensor wire on the back.
Every thing I found at parts stores were too short. I believe they were for later model trucks, but said they were for 1984 and up. I just cut the pump end off both cables and used a cable clamp to connect the ends back on at the correct length. Works perfect.
I had the wobble on mine, but would only happen during braking. I had a slightly warped rotor. I did a brake job on it and the death wobble is now gone.
The kick panel vents are notorius for leaking. The seal on the back of the plastic vent is all that keeps the water out. If these were ever taken off ,they are really tuff to get re-sealed. Take a garden hose to the outside and see if water is coming in at the vent.
Possibly the suction tube in trans pan not installed correctly. I had similar trouble with mine after sitting for a few days. Mine also had a rebuilt trans and the pickup tube was not on right allowing trans to suck air.
Before you spend alot of time and money on other stuff. Replace the steering stabilizer. Even with all brand new front end parts, if the stabilizer is bad they will get the death wobble. Very common on all straight axle trucks. Especially ones with the King pin Dana 60.
