I have the compressor off one of our M211 trucks doing some repairs.
I am looking for Gaskets, rings, and a governor repair kit....Alfa sells complete compressors....Seems that there should be parts somewhere ...anyone know what the model of that pump is ???? Ours has the tag pretty well...
Hi crew
I am getting an M29 WEASEL and am going to re purpose the steering differential into an Astro van "snow cat conversion"
I am looking for some good info on the Weasel diffy.
Thanks
Hey troops
Do we have a Weasel specific board like we do for the Deuce and such ?????
Picked up a Weasel for a Custom cat van project and need some info on the Weasel rear axle.
Thanks
Here are the new seals.
The manufacture is TCM These are inch size seals.
Two of these will fill the place where the original came out.
Might be a good idea for one of the mods to sticky this thread.
Hey
Stopped off at the local bearing supply.
The seals that were originally used (3/4 thick) are no longer available, but there are 3/8 thick seals that have the proper inner and outer size... I ordered 4 seals and will just stack them double in the bore.
The bearings are perfect, so no...
Are the seals and bearings a standard part or something suitable available ???
Would seem that these parts would still be around.
Any common seal part numbers out there troops ???
Thanks
Thank you
I have not opened the unit yet, but am going to disassemble, clean and have a look see inside.
I am hoping the seals are a standard size as the ones in there are likely shot from age alone.
The assembly spins fine, but 65 years dictates that things need to be looked over well before...
I removed the Drive shaft pillow block from one of our Deuces to use on another project (Part Studebaker Weasel..Part Astro van...Part Snowcat.
The Truck has nearly zero miles on it, just 65 years of sitting so the pillow block spins nice, but after 65 years it needs to be torn down and...
Hi all
Winter snows and terrible weather has slowed things to a crawl.
I have stepped back a bit and are letting the kid figure things out that he wants to do.
At present I am off on another crusade and am trying to scare up a Weasel rear diffy.
I popped an add in the classified section.
Any...

All adapters have to be made by somebody.
The popular stuff is readily available and not terribly priced.
The morphodite we are wanting is not made by anyone, at least not readily so.
The style and strength of the finished item is also of concern.
I want it HERKY
Yesterday I had some time to work on the project and headed down to the shop to make more chips.
Ideally pruning the big chunk of alloy down to a manageable size would have been very easy in a large band saw, but we are fresh out.
Our Jet saw is jut too small to deal with this big of piece...
Today saw some real action and some chips hit the floor in the shop.
The large aluminum round was going to be a tussle, and I knew it going into this little project.
Getting the ability to hold onto the thing was gonna take some finesse and a bit of improvising.
First I drilled a couple holes...
A few more goodies showed up yesterday.
The 205 case was missing the shifter linkage toggle bar and pins.
Found the correct one on ebay.
Getting ready to start whittling on the aluminum clocking ring today maybe.
Weather is nasty outside, so an indoor activity is in order for sure.
Some time on the phone scared up some scrap aluminum at a scrap yard close to here.
Cruised over and took a peek at what they had in alloy.
Turned out to be waaaaaaaay overkill, but the price made up for it
