    5.13:1 is all the lower you can gear it to. If you put a Dana 70 in the rear you can gear down to 7.17:1 Yes it'll accelerate alittle faster and towing will be easier, but the lower you gear down to, the less top end you have. At 5.13 you'll never see 55MPH again.

    CUCV's may benefit more from synthetic because it aids in starting, they lack a torque converter clutch, and they spin higher RPMs.

    Amsoil. Easy power adder. Or any synthetic. Converting the entire drivetrain over will make a little more power. It's not 50hp, but it's enough to notice. It's been proven on dynos before too, it's not snake oil.

    Exactly. New trucks from GM and Dodge come with smaller axle shafts and ring gears in the front end. The rear lacks the pinion support bearing. Not even getting into the nice set of carriers the m1028s have.

    General Grabber AT2 is the best AT tire out there IMO. Deep snow/offroad I would do KM2's on a m1008/m1010/m1028/etc M1009 I'd do Baja Claws.

    GL you got to jump through a few hoops. I've seen good deals on ebay. But often on GL you find trucks for under 1 grand.

    People on Pirate have used wheel spacers on duallys with success. I just talked to a guy that did it on a Dana 80 with awesome results.

    Has anyone put a gear vendor in their truck?

    1000 hp of diesel. 2000hp of gas. I'm guessing more, they just put limits on it to cover there ares. I believe the entire gear train is solid billet steel. There really isn't much to them. It's just a O/D. Perfect idea for these trucks, not sure how they'll bolt up however.
