Just a note for you. the 6.9 and 7.3 were made by Ford until 1994.5, THEN Navistar started making the Powerstroke 7.3 that is so famous.

According to the auction, you have one LDT and evidently your other motor IS from a 5 ton, the auctiion says LDS 465. main difference would be power, lots more of it.

Chrome has no place on a deuce. the sound is cool though.

IT looks like a real nice truck. probably gonna need tires sometime soon though. looks like the exhaust has been redone, has a hardtop, and looks pretty clean.

Lucky for you, you're on a board that is like a military vehicle information library, so if you need help or information of any kind, this is the place to ask. first thing I'd do for that rig, is get it sandblasted and repainted OD or desert tan, and get some G177s on there for shoes...

its 5 ton dump. its got the 10 lug rims, real long fenders instead of the shorter ones the deuce has, I believe there SHOULD be a tag on the dash, made of metal that will have a make, model number starting with M xxx and a build date, or date and location possibly of last rebuild.

an there aint enough beer cans scattered round the area either.

that winch looks positively enormous. probably rated for around 20-30 tons. it aint little, I know that much for sure

btw, one more question, what is under the hood on these things, I mean they're obviously bigger and much heavier than the deuces and 5 ton trucks. I wouldnt really imagine the multifuel being in there. cummins or Cat perhaps? I cant help but wonder, I've not seen many 10 ton trucks, though...
