Spicer 3053 main shaft reassemble question

I've found that there are different versions of these transmissions. Some have this part and others do not. I notice completely different markings and casting numbers on the gears between the different versions.

    3053 Main Shaft help

I do not buy this explanation. I just pulled a transmission apart that I've been running for 10 years with much of the time in OD and the area under 2nd gear looked spotless. I think something else was an issue, such as it got ran low on oil, never got a change when it should have, etc. I...

    Help Disassembling Steering Column 2530-01-126-3432

I'm trying to disassemble the Steering Column 2530-01-126-3432 from a 5 ton truck. The TM's only show it as an assembly and does not show a parts breakdown. Have any of you ever taken one of these apart?

    Power steering for the Deuce?

I'm looking for this Pitman Arm and see it is marked CTTA-3500-AE. Sometimes that is a part number or casting number. I've been unable to find that Pitman Arm searching the web. Does anyone have more info on the donor truck year, make and model that pitman arm came on? Also for Steve, what...

    Deuce power steering conversion

gringeltaube Forgive me if you posted it someplace. The last item I need to install the HF54 on my truck is a Pitman Arm solution. The setup you have looks perfect! What year, make and model donor truck did it come from? Does it have a casting number on it?

    Deuce exhaust brake details

How does that limit backpressure? If there is too much backpressure you can break valvetrain parts.

    Removing, rebuilding, reinstalling Hydraulic Head

It notates with no effort and seems to be held in by the oil film. A standard magnet cannot pull it put. My high force magnets are too big to fit down the hole. I'd tried using a strong magnet with a steel rod, but that doesn't get it out. How do you pull it out?

    Rebuilding the Injection pump

I'm rebuilding a spare hydraulic head to swap it and the booster pump onto my engine when I'm confident they are as good as new. There's some kind of sleeve down inside under the 12 point screw that I haven't been able to fish out and clean. It seems to be held in by the oil on the back side...

Deuce belt driven power steering complete

Very nice work and thanks for sharing a great post! Using the Saginaw 710 Metric and other hardware is a viable option to using the HF54, which is much more difficult to find. I was concerned about this setup if running wider singles on front, yet think it is likely OK as long as the wheel...
