Iron Bender is correct. I just recently replaced the wheels on my M1101 with wheels from a Chevy 2500 HD. The cargo bed is now 30" from the ground.

I shows an exploded view, with very vague directions.

It's an m1101, and the usually helpful TM says simply, "remove grease cap" when it describes how to remove the hub.

Does it twist off, or does it slide out?

Ok, I tried screwdriver, pipe wrench, big channel lock pliers... how am I supposed to take off the grease cap?
