Help fast, cummins 250 op temps?

Yup, makes perfect sense! Will relay the message and hopefully he can get things figured out before they get worse! Thanks Builderboy! Also, can anyone tell me what normal op temps are for the Allison Auto? Local temp is pushing 100°F and he's pulling some rolling hills.

Help fast, cummins 250 op temps?

Hey guys, we've got a member doing a recovery. Jeff city to Tulsa and he's on the road right now and having engine temp issues. He said he's running consistently 260+ That sounds high to me, can anyone tell me/us what the norm is, or maybe at least Maximum safe temp? Thanks! Jason

Anyone snag a 923 from Jeff city last week?

Goat, if you drive her home you should be coming pretty close to my place in Joplin MO on I-44. If you need a place to wrench on anything PM me and I'll give you the specifics. Hopefully with as good as those trucks looked you can drive her from Jeff back to Tulsa without a hitch. Congrats...

Anyone snag a 923 from Jeff city last week?

Please tell me SOMEONE scored one or more of them last thursday! Out of 20 trucks listed the "Worst" one had a broken drivers side door handle and a mismatched hood. All seemed to be average to low mileage and below average hours. The Jeff city trucks were definitely the cream of the crop for...

    Another cheap paintjob

OK, I'll try not to be a feminine hygiene product! But here's my opinion. I LOVE me some desert tan on a MV. It's just something you don't see much of for some reason, so the ones I do see I usually really like. But that being said, I DON'T like full or even semi gloss on an MV. The...

    Hauling within Missouri

Thanks Glen, The trucks Do look solid, and from what I can gather Mike is still the GL rep there and comes highly recommended. Driving it back would be a gamble as it's over a 4 hour drive( in a car NOT a 5 ton truck!) But assuming I got a solid truck it shouldn't be to big of a deal. Have you...

Did I just find a SUPER LOW mileage M60?!!?

No sir, this one is a looooong way from Arnold. Down in SW MO by the Oklahoma line to be a little more specific. BUT, the guy that owns it used to be a trucker so he could have easily bought it up there and hauled it here on the cheap!? Jason

    Hauling within Missouri

Anybody out there that could give me an idea of trucking a M923 from Jefferson city (65101) To Joplin (64804) I'd greatly appreciate it! Haven't won anything "yet" so timeframe may be an issue. I don't need an exact quote, since I really can't provide anything more than what and where I'm...

Did I just find a SUPER LOW mileage M60?!!?

That's where the controls for the crane be! In the passengers seat, or more to the point where the passengers seat USED to be! So, obviously it's not an M60. Is it just an amalgamation of parts and pieces? Thanks again! Jason

Did I just find a SUPER LOW mileage M60?!!?

No kidding?!?! I was SURE when I saw the gasser engine that it was the famed M60! I would have posted a pic of an ID plate, if I could have found one! But then again I really don't know where to look! I got some more pitchers of it if that would help?! Thanks, Jason

Did I just find a SUPER LOW mileage M60?!!?

Yeah, I laughed when I saw the odometer knowing it wasn't EVEN close to correct. But from what I've been able to research the truck is definitely a unique item! Thanks for the welcomes!...........now, is this thing worth fixing, or is it just a parts truck at this point? I would think it could...

Did I just find a SUPER LOW mileage M60?!!?

....I'm pretty sure I did, Well at least the M60 part! After talking to a buddy at work about my Green Steel Disease, He told me of an "Old army truck" way off the beaten path. So I made it by there today and looky at what I found! It's not really the low mileage gem I made it out to be, but...
