my M1009 starts fine after it has run for awhile, but when you first start it you have to crank it with your foot all the way down on the accelerator for a few seconds, and if its cold (50 degrees or lower) it is a real pain,2 cranks or more, which is bad for the battery especially in the cold...

Just wondering if I can swap them out, the old one is gutted and leaky it won't even open, doesn't have a handle or anything. Wasn't sure if the new 89' one was different or not, thanks.
