    Magnetic PTO Sensor for M1031

Does anyone happen to have any idea where I can order the magnetic pickup that mounts in the pto housing for the M1031? The sensor reads the speed of the pto off the teeth of the gear and provides input to the controller for the generator. Smitty

    6.2 Return Line Size

I'm looking at replacing all of the rubber lines in my fuel system with Viton lines. Does anyone happen to have a source? Also, what size are the little return lines from the injectors? Smitty

    M101A2 Master Cylinder Cap Vent

The cap on my master cylinder has a threaded hole in the center of the top. There was a deteriorated piece of plastic in the hole when I picked the trailer up from GL. What should have been in the hole to prevent water from getting in the reservoir? I know I have changed a lot of these...

    M101A2 Master Cylinder Info

After going through all kinds of threads on these units I've found that a master cylinder out of an early 60's Jeep should be the same as the one used on the M101A2 trailers. Most of the parts store employees couldn't find their *ss with both hands since it's not listed by make/model/year in...

    Deuce Wheel Sources

I had a friend call me up today. He was looking for four wheels/tires from a duece to move a project of his around. I don't think he is looking for anything in perfect condition, just something to get him by while he's working on his project. Is there anywhere around the Florida panhandle...

Where to find the fiberglass boards?

I just picked up another M101a2. All of the side rails are fiberglass except the front panel. Is there anyplace that sells just the rails and are they a direct replacement for the wood boards? (the three boards in the front panel) Smitty

    M101 vs M116a2

I currently have a M101. I built some bows and bought a cover to get it set up to fit my needs. I'm currently waiting on a EUC to clear for a M116a2 that has the surge brakes, eight lug wheels and bed with the sides. Does anyone know if the bows and cover off my M101 will fit the bed of the...

    Correct M1031 Vise

Does anyone happen to have the correct vise in their M1031? The vise mounted on my truck only has two of the bolt holes lining up with the tailgate. I'm just trying to find out what make/model vise would bolt up correctly. Smitty

Added air tank to the M1031, looking for a light

I went ahead and added another air tank to my work truck so I could have twice the reserve capacity. Taz sent me a tank and mounting brackets and I just installed it under the existing tank. I need to run by the store and get a couple of fittings to finish plumbing it into the system. I'm...

    Alternator Components

Does anyone have GM part numbers for some CUCV 27SI alternator parts? I'm looking for the rectifier, regulator, and brush holder/brush part numbers. Smitty

    A Different Belt Question

I have removed the #1 (driver's side) alternator from my truck and converted to a 12 volt system. The truck has run fine for the past year, but I'd like to install a second belt to the crank/power steering pump/water pump. Does anyone happen to have a belt number to accomplish this? Smitty

    Brake Code Help

Does anyone happen to know the brake code (JB7, JB8, etc.) for a M1031 (I think the M1008 would be the same)? I'm looking to change some of the front brake components, but need the code for the system. I usually find it on the slip in the glove box, but this slip doesn't list the brake system...

    M101 Trailer Title in Florida

After waiting 45 days for my SF97 from GL, I received this email today: Mr. Smith, when preparing your documents, it was noted that the weight of these two trailers is less than 2000 lbs. The State of Florida does not require these trailers to be registered or licensed, therefore SF97s are not...

    M101 Spare Tire

I need to get a spare tire for my M101A2 trailer. What wheels fit these trailers (not HMMWV on this one...)? I've heard that they are the same as a wheel from an M37, but I'm not too sure. Does anyone happen to have any idea where I might start looking? I'm located in NW Florida and have not...

    Injection Pump Seals

The seals around the throttle shaft on my 6.2 injection pump have started to leak. Is this something that can be repaired without messing with the rest of the pump? Smitty

    M101A1 Body Style?

The SF97 request form has a spot for body style on the M101A1. What is the style? Cargo, utility... I'm just not too sure what to put in this spot. Smitty

    Wood for bows

Well I figured I'd better get on the ball and cut the wood for the bows before my new top gets here. I have been to the wood suppliers in three towns to find some oak without any success. Actually, I haven't been able to find any type of hardwood. I went ahead and grabbed some pine and figure...

    GMA Covers

I have been trying to contact GMA Cover Corp. for the past two weeks without any success. I have left messages on their voice mail and sent emails. Does anyone know if they are still open for business? Smitty

    Received My Metal Bow Corners

I have the metal corners for the bows, but I thought about something else as I was looking at the trailer. Do the bows have some type of metal shield/support on the bottom where they slide into the slots on the side racks? If so, are these available anywhere? Smitty

    Gas Powered Air Compressors

Picked up two 15 CFM gas powered air compressors today. They're both HGR5-8M-1 compressors and have Teledyne WFI "military standard engines" on them. I messed with the first one for a while this afternoon and was able to get it fired up. Does anyone happen to know where I might be able to...
