Picked up a couple parts trucks and decided one was the perfect canidate for bobbing
I think its a late 60s A2 judging by the non turbo action.
After hauling it home, i removed the bed and rear suspension to make room for some front springs i saved off another part out.

Havent updated the thread in a while but the truck is running good here is a quick up to date list...
-Rebuilt all 6 wheel cylinders
-Repacked all wheel bearings
-Changed all the fluids/filters
-new fuel tank
-rebuilt master cylinder and air pack :x still not working correctly
-new rubber...
Im just hoping for someone to chime in who is ACTUALLY running a brake on a multifuel and what setup/ backpressure specs they have. There are lots of cheap exhaust brakes that are not very effective but the brake i have is most likely capable of internal valvetrain damage.

Has anybody experimented with one of Pac Brakes new style PRXB Exhaust brakes on a multifuel? I have a 4" PRXB Brake off a 2nd gen 24 valve dodge. Mounting will be pretty easy im mainly concerned with how much back pressure these engines can handle. The motor these brakes were designed to...
UPDATE...
Took the truck out this weekend and after a couple of applications of the brakes they were dragging.
So i pulled over and cracked the bleeder on the airpack... Nothing
Cracked the bleeder on one of the rear wheel cylinders and the brakes released.
So that tells me the master...
OK update i havent had a chance to work on the deuce in a while but checked it out tonight.
-Started out removing J pipe and with air system up to pressure and no pedal applied air is leaking to the J pipe and therefore to the back of the pack.
-Next i loosened the nut on the compensator...
So long story short i installed all new brakes on my deuce and cannot get the air pack to function properly. Rebuilt all 6 wheel cylinders, all new rubber lines, rebuilt master cylinder, installed kit in air pack and honed bores slightly.
Where i stand now is air being sent to the back side...
Were these axles only used in v100s? I was told by who i got them from that they came out of a firetruck. What is the interest in them, are the stronger than stock u-joint shafts or britle? Anybody out there have any experience with them? With a detroit in the front i would think steering...
