I came across some odd 2.5 ton top loader shafts/locker today. The axles thes shafts came out of were in a fire truck with super singles on it. Has anyone seen these shafts/locker in a top loading 2.5 ton before? I searched a bit and the locker is available for f106 and other front loader rocks...

I think the pinion brakes would work well for an emergency backup on a 6x6. I run them on my crawler (8500 lbs) and if i remember right the kit from DIY4x4 was only 110$ per axle (all you need is a loaded caliper). Progress Gave up on the stock alternators and picked up this 22si 24 volt 70 amp modern unit. Im sure you can buy the correct pulley but i just bored the stock one from 5/8" out to 7/8". Rotated rear housing 180 degrees and utilizing a stock bracket off a parts motor (for the rear support)...

Local alternator shop doesnt want to touch the factory beast with a 10 foot pole so i am thinking a more modernt 24 volt setup may be easiest, probably just copy the wolverine kit.
