Got her going off a boat fuel tank. Man does it use gas! Took 3 gallons just idling 10 minutes. New brake lines and hoses, new fuel pump, new radiator hoses. The dirt Dobbers causes a lot of confusion why the new pump wouldn’t suck fuel but got that figured out. Carb is way too rich but...
It actually has a double barrel modern Holley with a homemade adapter. I found a pump on a modern fleabay site. It it doesn’t work I’ll try them thanks.
Ah yes you are right it’s a 931a1. I do have the a2 winch chassis with everything but cab and bed. Was saving that for a rainy year project. Has 8.3 on the spare chassis with winch
If anyone has an interest in what I believe is a m543 wrecker maybe from Korean era. It is a gasoline model. No pictures yet but if there is any interest I’ll get some
Found a t case pto. And took both transmissions to make one good. The pto bearing went bad which caused the teeth to strip. Thanks for the hp rating that really helped make the transfer case decision.
So removed the vr and looked at the orientation of both q1 and q2. I had soldered q2 wrong so removed and orientated it correctly by schematic. Installed and fired unit up. Voltage is adjustable and correct now. Big thanks to guyfang!
Ran again in run mode voltage is low about 90 volts then when you adjust up it spikes to 178 each leg. I’m wondering if I orientated the transistors q1 and q2 correctly on voltage regulator. Over voltage never trips. Great fun
Found a bent pin in j50 connection. Replaced bridge rectifier with a 20 amp one on a5 board. A4 speared good. Test ran 15 minutes in run. Gained some in Rpms might have to chase that one too. Now to the over voltage problem. 300 volts in 208 mode should have tripped the over voltage...
