The best I can recall I followed the tm shiming the pto. I even used blue to look at teeth mesh but that was over 15 years ago so it could have worn. I also used the truck hydraulics one year to plow my fields when my tractor was broken. Highly likely wear but no way to tell when you have...
Thanks After seeing the hp is same as motor speed maybe it is the sudden torque of the hydraulic pump that causes gears to strip not horsepower required. I know the weak link is the transmission gear because there is no shear pin in the rear facing pto drive for the pump which has stripped two...
Yes shimmed it twice now I believe the excessive hp is what is stripping the transmission teeth off. It’s a guess of 50 hp. It will bogg the motor down if idling. I’m sure someone knows the pto hp max for a duece vs the transfer case pto?
years ago I installed a mk17a1 palfanger crane on a deuce chassis with a pto run hydraulic pump. It has served me well except for cold weather days when the oil is cold it will strip the teeth off the pto shaft in the transmission. The hydraulic pump probably pulls 50 hp. Yep you guessed...
Dont forget on some models the solenoid on top of the fuel injector pump goes bad. It should have a knob that can be screwed in buy hand to hold open and then it will crank if that is bad. Try that it is a one minute job.
check to make sure there is not a cut off valve on the pressure side from the pump. Mine did the same thing ended up being a cut off with a square nob that i turned with a adjustable wrench and then got flow and everything worked fine. Mine was behind the manual valve handles in towards the...
you have rust or air in the system or both . rust will block the lines and air will act as a bladder. Use a power bleeder if that doesn't work replace the master cylinder. Good luck
I have a dual brake truck i will sell you and then you don't have to worry about the parts. I converted an older deuce with a c6500 truck with hydro boost. That was an ordeal.
i have titled 6 trucks in SC and if the sf97 and the truck is not verified by a dmv agent (most of the time you have to take the truck to a dmv which = more cost assuming all vin numbers are correct) by the legal owner they will not issue a title in the owners name. The state wants their money...
