M35A2 "AFI" brand MRV Electric wiper option I went with

I did a few searches and didn't find where this had been covered, so I thought I would share. I recently installed "AFI" brand, MRV 12v electric marine wiper motors on my deuce. The shaft fit in the factory hole, and I had to drill a hole through the metal glass frame for a #10 screw and nut...

M35A2 window frame to glass seals option

I was having trouble finding materials for replacing the seals in all of the windows of the deuce. I'm talking about the rubber that goes between the metal frames, and the glass itself. I searched a lot and couldn't find anything. Maybe I didn't know what to call it. I found a nice solution...

Time lapse video of my latest bobbed deuce build

Country living is where it's at. Having a shop and the right tools is nice too. I'm very blessed and thankful. Thanks for the compliment.

Time lapse video of my latest bobbed deuce build

thanks Sction8. The old tape measure was used often, the images were to spread out to show it. The camera was taking a picture every 5 seconds, and sometimes every 10 seconds. The mor detailed video is a good idea, I didn't think of doing that.

Time lapse video of my latest bobbed deuce build

I posted this yesterday in a thread on another forum here on Steel Soldiers. I got to thinking that it might be more useful on this modification thread. This is a time lapse video I made of my latest bobbed deuce project, that I did mostly by my self. I thought it might be more searchable...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Thanks Jericho. I appreciate the compliment, and I appreciate both sides of the bobber "fence."

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I basically finished bobbing my latest Deuce. I also made a time lapse video of the process. I searched through youtube and couldn't find many military truck time lapse builds, so i thought I would give it a shot. Plus, I think it covers the process for those considering doing this for the...

    Deuce Parts Quick Reference Spreadsheet

I didn't buy any of those, but looking at World American's book, below is what I found. I would verify before purchase. Looks right though. Looks like the budd inner nut part# is: WA07-5024 for RH WA07-5025 for LH And, Budd outer nut part# is: WA07-5022 for RH WA07-5023 for LH

    Deuce Parts Quick Reference Spreadsheet

Here's a new part number for Deuce wheel studs and lug nuts I read through all the wheel stud threads I could find and could not find these particular part numbers, so I thought I would post them here. This is the Carquest / Advance Autoparts number, now that Advance bought Carquest. In the...

    Any salvage yards in florida

Do you have any M35A3 combat wheels. I need 4 and I've got to make a trip to Gainesville in a couple of weeks anyway.

    Any salvage yards in florida

I know this is a few months old, but Watson's Auto Salvage in Crestview Florida has 4-5 complete M35a2's and a couple of 5 tons. He also has additional axles for deuces and 5 tons. Great guy, but very old school. No web site or email or anything. Phone number is 850-682-4470. I just got a...

    Another fuel pump went bad

I replaced mine this past Friday with one directly from Olympic. Very nice unit, great customer service, and it came with new gaskets. I'm very pleased with it.

    1400 tires on Deuce

I'm running 1400's, but on A3 wheels. Not rubbing so far, and I think they look great.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I finished bobbing mine over the weekend. Was originally a 1967 M35a2c, depot overhauled in 1989, retired from service in 2007. I bobbed it with a M105 bed, A3 wheels, and 14.00R20 Goodyears using the procedure from the the XM381.com web site. I'm a Big Lebowski fan, so I couldn't resist putting...

Behr Paint Jobs- Show me your MV's

It took 3 gallons to paint what you see, plus inside the doors, and jambs. It would take another gallon to paint inside the bed. I haven't done that yet because I haven't decided how I want to do it. I put two medium coats on. I put one on first thing in the morning, and the second one on...

Behr Paint Jobs- Show me your MV's

I just painted mine with BEHR using the formula below from a thread over in the paint and bodywork section. I sprayed it with an airless sprayer and added a little Flotrol, but the tip on my gun ended up putting a faint line in the pattern. I ended up back rolling it with a fine nap roller...

Best Rear Spring Option for Bobbed Deuce

I'm not sure. Parts deuces are rare where I'm at, so that really wasn't an option for me even if it would work.
