Removing, rebuilding, reinstalling Hydraulic Head
To turn the engine over, put the transfer case in neutral and the transmission in 5th gear. (Park brake applied / wheels chocked, of course.) Take a bar or large screwdriver and stick it in the yoke of the driveshaft between transmission and transfer case to turn that shaft. Could probably also...- schriffsMN

Removing, rebuilding, reinstalling Hydraulic Head
Pull the handle firmly, just don't rip it out. No benefit to pulling slowly. It's a pretty simple shutoff, once you can see what it does. Pulling the cable moves a lever that rotates a shaft. The end of the shaft moves a block that blocks a fuel passage in the piston.- schriffsMN
