I replaced the sending unit due to a non-working fuel gauge. Gauge works excellent now. I have been battling with this fuel sock for over a year with it clogging. I feel like it is maybe a "defective" sock. So I ordered a 6 micron fuel filter for the frame rails, and a 3 micron main fuel filter...
removed the in-tank fuel sock. It keeps clogging every 4-6 months. Its a napa fuel sending unit, ive had problems with it ever since I installed it. So i pulled it off and i am searching for a good in-line fuel filter to go before the fuel pump.
Start with the small things. My friends stock jeep had bad wobble. after replacing all of the suspension it turned out to be bad tires.
My colorado used to get a shimmy and a pull, started moving tires around until i found 1 tire that was bad.
These filters caused me alot of problems last winter, NAPA said the replacements are not available, complete pick ups only. I washed it out really well with parts cleaner and compressed air.
Some race car friends dont have fill holes in their rears. They fill a plastic bag with the proper amount of fluid, throw the bag in, and drive off. The gears grind up the bag and the oil is dispersed.
I had one do the same thing, it didn't come completely de-laminated, so it was flapping against the bed. I was able to get home (approx. 5 miles) and put another tire on. It took about a week sitting in the bed of the truck to finally blow out.
ROB- Mine does the same thing. Its a noise that makes you worry, but I have not been able to find it. I think it might be the detroit unlocking (if thats possible). Mine happens when I am coasting to a stop, and sometime when i go to accelerate out of a stop. I will ignore until something is...
I need these as well. I will check HELP next time im at the store. But from what you said you just slam them over the existing pins? You didnt need to remove the striker pins?
I had a great time, no issues. Good deals, good vendors, nice talking with some guys from here. We actually drove into the vendor area 2x with a deuce, no questions.
