So I wanted to send everyone an update with attempt to register my truck. DMV has sent me to the highway patrol in order to determine the Vin. They looked at the data plate and disregarded the information. Yesterday the CHP officer called and said he would have to research it further.

Ok I just got off the phone with DMV and he said the bottom line is make sure its two axle and its under 26,000lb prior to 1987 (so no smog regs) and you are good to go with class C and no scales or anything. Three axles and larger then 6,000lb you need a class B exct and its starts to get a...
