Thanks guys, at least I know it is removable...lol..I wanted to have it ready for our Memorial Day event at work and that didn't happen, so I took the day off from heating, banging and twisting on that **** thing.

Of course, the exhaust manifold will render at least another 3-4 snapped bolts...

I'm done with it, I'm ready to put it back together with three fn bolts and pay someone to swap the exhaust manifold...I think three days is enough.

I even went and got a new pair of vise grips ensuring the best bite but those bolts are hard, it's hardly getting a grab on it.

Can't get to it, the rear one sits under the manifold...I could hardly get to it with liquid wrench. I heated her up twice and nothing but tomorrow I'll heat it longer and try try again. I also tried rattling it a bit with a air chisel but no help. I did manage to complete the flames delete in...

Yeah the one I broke I can't really see the top, but the other back one looks like it is a hole tapped all the way through the manifold with the threaded rod in it..but I could be wrong, that's a rusty spot..lol

No, but I've been meaning to get one, maybe this is a good excuse...lol the back bolts are like threaded rods though, those do come out correct?

Well this bolt don't want to budge...but at least changing my blinker switch and regulator got my blinkers working again...lll

I agree rusty. I did that on a 59 triumph I built, the Britt threads are absolutely absurd... i have a tray tray of stainless nuts and bolts prolly worth 600 bucks as much as they cost...lol...and I plan on replacing the turbo flange bolts with the same...about to start wrestling this broke...

Yeah I see what you're saying, turbo is off now but I will be needing to do that mod also, the old turbo was full of fuel...betting this helped the seal in the turbo go also.

Question though, this is the bolt next to the block that appears to be a threaded rod, is this removable or is it welded in there?

Down to one bolt, but of course, one of the back ones broke off...why is it never easy

I'm pretty sure it doesn't since it's a Miami guard truck...everything is off now except the four bolts holding the turbo in. Not sure what it's called but I see a fuel line going to a little coupling that is dripping down on the turbo, I've seen people talk about that part before, can't...

harbor freight is where I got the one Im using on the truck., just buy the extended warranty cause youll go through them pretty fast...lol

lol... that's a little hike for me. I was thinking the same thing just wanted to avoid picking up air in a bad spot, if there's such a thing ya know...I still have the original horrn switch in my wheel so I may need to upgrade that also.

I just wanted to pass this info on to anyone who may not know cause it seems many have never heard of these. I used them on tug boats when I was a kid to remove old paint and have noticed sometimes the old military paint laughs at sand blasting...lol. It wont laugh at these...I'm sure some have...
