BTW, after fix, I keep the oil level is up to bottom of fill hole, no problem. If you open up the trans, you'll see this level is way below the input shaft.
I had the same issue. Turned out to be a worn input shaft seal (item 3 in diagram you posted). This is what is called a labrynth seal, and uses grooves to sling oil back into the trans. Search my account and you can find photos I posted on this. You will need to drop trans, not that big of a...
I have mine set to 120. Also I have noticed at idle, compressor will not keep up with much air usage. I usually use the throttle hold to keep RPMs at 1000 - 1200 if I'm doing anything using air.
I just went through this repair. Replaced my pilot bushing and Input Shaft sleeve and no leaks at all. Originally was puking about a 1/4 cup of fluid when I stopped. You can read my thread here:

Hope it...
Just wanted to complete this thread. I replaced the worn clutch pilot bushing, and the damaged input bearing retainer / shaft sleeve, and no more leaks. Thank you for all of your help, especially m-35Tom.
Borky. Oh, and RTF-TM (read the f***ing tech manual!) One of the reasons I love this truck is because of the available tech manuals. The sections for removing trans, clutch and pressure plate, and flywheel are spot on
Borky, this was my first trans pull and rear seal replacement. Took me about four hours to pull trans first time, and about an hour and a half this time. After removing propeller shaft, put trans in first. Give you some room to pull back trans as you remove it. Lots of great help here, use it!
Pulled the Input shaft bearing retainer, and think I found problem. Previous owner had the input bearing fail. Looking at the input shaft, it is worn down where it enters the retainer tube, and the inside of the tube is worn down on one side so there are no more oil tossing threads. Where would...
Thanks m-35Tom. I agree that the fill level should be at bottom of hole. I'll pull the bearing retainer off and check what is in there.
Clinto, the engine oil level is good, and the crank surface looked great when I replaced the seal. Thanks.
Ok, more data. I had noticed it before, but now see the pilot bushing is completely worn for one half of its length. I have not had any trouble shifting, or any whining noises.
Could a worn pilot bushing allow the input shaft to wobble enough to create a GO leak? I'm thinking the leaked fluid...
I'm pretty sure it is engine oil, as there is no smell. However I pulled the trans again and there is some leakage from the input shaft (oil around throwout bearing). That oil smells different that what is on my drip pan.
I'm getting ready to pull the flywheel, and will let you know what I see.
