She looks beautiful! Obviously have a chace car with some tools and bring water. I went straight to the gas station to fill up with fresh diesel. My screen in the filler was clogged so had to remove it to fill, bring gloves and a roll of paper towels. It can be a little tricky removing the...
When I first fire mine up I pull the throttle out and keep it between 800-900 (seems to stop most excessive rattles lol) after running and driving it seems to idle there on it's own.
Way to go Casey! Glad to hear she's up and running! These trucks are so fun to have. I can't express how useful this site truly is, from the TM's to first hand advice. Thanks for all your photos, good luck and have fun with her.
So the passenger door handle wouldn't open from the outside, it's been bugging me for a while also it was vertical instead of horizontal. Did a quick search and found this amazing thread on how to fix it http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?12636-How-to-fix-inop-outside-door-handles...
Yesterday however I did quite a bit. First I changed the oil, first time for me. Now I know for sure when it was done last. Don't have the spin ons yet, will probably put those on next oil change. Glad I re-read the TM's and opened the back plug first then did the front (not having to switch...
Hey everyone. Sorry for the lapse in posts. However I didn't do a whole lot over the winter. This spring the kids begged me to pick them up on the last day of school in the truck, I couldn't resist an opportunity to turn some heads and give the kids a great big smile!
Then all of my Sunday's...
It's been a little while since I've posted. I was able to secure a canvas and bows for the truck. Just recently my dad and I took the truck on the 200 mile round trip up to deer camp! What an adventure! The way up wasn't so bad, but the blizzard on the way home was horrible. Learned a few...
My 67 Kaiser is amazing! Just got back from northern Minnesota. 198 mile round trip with no problems. Air for front axle is a must (especially here for snow) depending on condition sounds like a heck of a buy.
Thanks everyone!! I really love this group of guys! And yes I really do have the deuceface!! (my wife got a kick out of that). So today I painted the bed and seats to get rid of the white that was in there and scraped off the loose paint. I added a splash of coolant just to be sure it was topped...
I was finally able to bring my big beauty home!!! I bought it from another Steel Soldier, very nice guy!! He made sure everything was ready to go on her before I got there to pick her up. Made the 55 mile trip with out any problems except a wasp that was in the cab and was freaking my daughter...
I've got to run out and start the bbq, only got on page 42 of your thread and I love it! I've got a couple pages left but I've got to start dinner! I've met a local steel soldier and have my deposit down and I'm hoping to get it later this month. I absolutely love posts like this they are so...
Thanks for the post. I love following threads like this. I have yet to buy a Deuce, hopefully in the near future I can officially join the club. However in the mean time I get to live vicariously through you guys (my wallet thanks you though!) Keep up the good work I will be following this post!
