    What Shocks Are you Running on your 1009?

    I run BDS on mine at the moment. Had coil overs on my previous 6.2 civi blazer and have no complaints about them at all. So far the BDS are holding up and are a decent ride.

    Thanks for the reply. Took the old one in and they went through and matched it up. The one it calls for didn't work. I never knew there were so many different ones for the standard 10 bolt. I guess the saying is correct that you learn something new everyday!! Regards

    Anyone had a problem with the rear u-joints being different size's? Does the M1009 use the same as the Civi models?

    Thanks. The wheel wells were the easy part of it. Replacing the rocker panels and painting the doors are next.

    Painted grill, bumper, front clip and undercoated the wheel wells. Krylon does wonders, carc paint is some tough stuff!!!

    Holes at rear of shell above antennae mounts.

    I used bolts and a big washer. Painted it black and works for now. I will replace it with something that looks better when I can find it. Lots of good ideas here!

    Wireing harness question

    Never posted anything here so this is my first. Please bare with me. I have a 1986 M1009. Has been converted from 24 to 12v. Glow plugs have been changed to manual. I'm having problems with it starting and was going to check to see if it was wired correctly because I don't hear the clicking...
