    My Dmax EGTs

Yeah 1400 for a bit of time is rolling the dice. What's the max RPMs on the Duramax? My son has a 2003 5.9 and he tries to keep it under 3200 RPMs but it will obviously go higher. Mark

    Twin Turbo V12 M998

Obviously that is more than enough torque at a lower rpm. How many speeds is the tranny andObviously that is more than enough torque at a lower rpm. How many speeds is the tranny and do you happen to know the stock converter stall speed? I love the initiative. What's the rpm limit of that...

    Glow Plug Replacement

I loved the old two stroke Detroits. Easy to work on, made good power and were easy as hell to work on. The 4-53T was compact made good power and the weight and height reasonable. Mark Don't get me going on the POS 5.7 diesels. I have some experience with them and you have to wonder what...

    Glow Plug Replacement

This is why it's a must use never seize on the treads on the new glow plugs to help prevent this issue. This system is such a bad design and causes uncontrollable cursing for all who have to deal with them. Why couldn't they have used a grate system like on the Cummins. Just dumb. Mark

    New HMMWV owner with questions.

I've heard that too with the MTRs but all I can say is I've had mine for six years now with zero issues and they look like new. I have two 100% spares in case I do have issues. Mark

    New HMMWV owner with questions.

The group 31s will fit and so will group 29. The group 29s are mainly for farm use but of you're on the budget it may be the way to go. I would absolutely go with surplus 24 bolt wheels with the 37" MTRs for some good deals. My .02 cents. Mark Group 29 battery

'86 M998 Humvee issue with headlights and turnsignals

My turn signal switch is the newer LED type. Maybe I should try the older steering wheel turn signal switch as I would prefer LED all around. Mark

'86 M998 Humvee issue with headlights and turnsignals

I found with mine I have leds in the rear (bulb replacement to leds) and incandescent bulbs up front was the only way to get mine to work properly. Flasher would not work with all leds unfortunately. Mark

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

It's a shame is It's a pita to swap over to a new wheel.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

How was it spinning on the tire balancer? You can usually see a tire issue or rim issues. With a tire as heavy as these are I would still try to 180 degree rotation of the tire to rim as it "may" help providing of course it is spinning relatively true. If the rim was bent that condition...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Back in the day if we had a tire do that we would break the bead and rotate the tire on the wheel by 180 degrees. It usually worked. Mark

Feasibility of Solar Panel augmentation with existing MEP backup/additive power or just add larger genset?

Be aware of the solar panels rated power as you can cut it in half in the real world. A 100w 12v solar panel will net you on the average five amp at best unless you have a tracking array system that keeps the panels at their best efficiency power production. Don't believe the hype. I'm just...
