Do these transfer case switches get stuck. Mine will not engage when I flip the switch on the dash. I can hear air coming out the vent instead,what would cause that. Should I give it a whack,the temps are warm now also.

Can you tell the procedure to lock the front drive in on a 5 ton. All I hear is air hissing that sounds like it is coming out of the stack where it is vented. It use to work but stopped,what could cause it to stop working, help please I need the 6 wheel drive badly.
