All the push tubes were the same length from the 350 as the 250

Small cam, and non top stop injectors. This is an assumption because the push rods were the same(About the small cam)

I did not but wanted to be ready for turbo. Can this be compensated with the fuel button size?

Left original pump in place, but used the 350 injectors. Seems to run well, but has the "Freight Train" smoke going on like you mention. Not sure what you mean by running air to it.....

Now that's its been run a few miles, it has 80 plus cold, and 40 + when hot- Think I'm good:)

Going to run the dual fuel line now, Turbo later- I'm over coming a horrible failure with a valve dropping into my fresh cylinder (Will warned me about this) Just about to redo the one cylinder, and get her running again before turbo

She's a 1970- Did they have electric? I assumed mechanical

Just completed rebuild, in frame kit of the 818. Now it maxes out the pressure on the gauge. Any thoughts on this? Thanks

The doghead relay mod works perfectly, so either a bad ignition, or a melted wire o0r short somewhere for sure

Well, its in the cummins book, but the diesel gurus where I picked up the in frame kit said it's a nuthin burger. 2 heads are much newer, 1 might be original. When I did the heads, I checked the seats and there not loose, no leakage with vacuum after assembly. That pitted Intake valve is great...
