Thanks guys. It's not always about how to best do something, but this community helps us better understand if this (and many other issues) TEND to happen with a particular vehicle. Thanks for helping me better understand, from your experience.
I appreciate anyone's knowledge on this problem/issue. My new-to-me M998 4door fuel tank overflows every time I fill it, and it overflows from underneath/center, not from the fill spout. Anyone else experience this, or know the probable cause? I'm guessing I have to deinstall/reinstall tank...
I have a like-new passenger seat (maroon, vinyl) that I never ended up using - still boxed up, if you want it. $100 + shipping. I just haven't posted it yet.
FYI - can't help with the transport, sorry. But just picked my 3 up from Groveport. They have new forklifts with built-in scales. He told me they run just over 300lbs., not 369. That may save you on transport. Good luck.
Thank you, Artisan, for posting so much helpful information. I can't get to all of it with my Schutt SLC right now, due to illness and work, but I wanted you to know your posts don't go unnoticed and will serve me well as future reference. Thank you again for taking the time to help the rest...
Dave,
Great job - wow! Did you use the existing threaded holes on the flat top of the trailer to affix your fab'd unit? I see a clamp, which makes me think you went for the permanent install, with sealant, etc... Nice.
Thanks fasttruck. I do have a M939A2, but the 11 hours each way gives me pause (and diesel cost nightmares)... So I'm not going to attempt with my F-150 either, lol. I'm thinking it needs to be hauled, given unknown status of four dually tires/wheels and axles/brakes. Anyone know a...
... you may just have to recover it from Iowa!!
Well... I finally got the 30kw genset/on trailer that I wanted... Just won from Johnston, Iowa location. Any advice on getting 'er home to Central Ohio?? (before I go to uShip)... I'd appreciate anyone with experience getting from this...
Hey SLC Owners,
Has anyone tried the slave connection - outgoing? I have a new Ohler electric pump that I want to test, and haven't gotten the time to run with water, but wanted to hook it up to this (and my M923A2) to test it out. Anyone had success with any devices off the slave outlet on...
It works! I got the bed up with no problems after I took off the sensor plug (oddly, it only took the starboard side to do it) out. And thank you again, Brad (Artisan)! You are truly a generous contributor here!
Hey Artisan,
Also, for the work lights... I could not find the "Y" double adapter at Erik's. Any chance you can tell me/link to where you got that part? Many thanks!
I want to really thank Artisan, aheilmann68 and Rusty Nut for taking the time to share their findings. Because of you guys, I was able to replace the starter (after filing from a new one), and rework the fuel pump (instead of rebuild or replace), and it started right up yesterday! These...
Paul,
Two things. If you do want to use the 7-pin RV hookup, it is a Male end connection at the trailer, so you'll have to have an adapter. Second, Artisan is right. You DON'T want to tow this without air brake support. Also, if you run this thing to NE, you will RUIN the air bags, if you...
