Suprman, I didn't try running a new wire because I was a little unsure of one detail. I did a search in the manuals I have but could find no reference to anything described as a fuel solenoid. It's probably obvious to many but as I am not the best mechanic in the world, I'm not sure where...

I have had a 1078 for a little over a year now. Have enjoyed monitoring this website and really appreciate all the helpfull information here. Although I'm not a very good mechanic, I hope I can contribute. .
