reassembled the HH yesterday with new gaskets and seals, put a drop of gearoil on the sleeve/plunger and the fuel control assembly and the truck is up and running again. seems in this case it was only the broken spring.

ok, no problem floridianson, i will let it know if the problem is solved when i reassemble everything. it will be probably tuesday next week, due to lack of time.

ok, thx. the fuel control sleeve isnt sticky, when I turned the HH upside down and back the sleeve slides also up and down on the plunger. and when stopping the engine always pushing the engine stop back. I think I give everything a good check and reassemble the HH and try it again.

ok thx rustystud and floridaAKM for the response .luckely I did find another old fuel injection pump whit the same p/n HH and used the spring from that one. where can I find the control valve?, couldnt find it in the t.m.(maybe I read over it)

for sure, I use 6 / 6tons jack stands when working on the deuce. "better safe then sorry'' just in the process off replacing the oil seals on the middle axle due to a leak in the brake drum

and i did use the subscribed silicon us army brake fluid. and overhauled the master brake cyl. could the air pack have a internal leak?

thx for the response I did the the airpack first and bled it 3 times, there are no air bubbles to see . even when pumping the pedal it doesn't get higher I think it isn't adjusting the breaks either.
