    How do I identify my M151A2 ?

Grits, based from the bumper markings, are you able to identify which unit in the army this mutt was last assigned to? Here is how the marines would have stenciled it in 1 inch font. I took these pics from the American Military Museum in South El Monte, CA. But then again, you might not find any...

    How do I identify my M151A2 ?

Assuming your data plate is original to the vehicle, your mutt was originally assigned to the USMC and later reassigned to the army. The front bumper is a marine version and the engine is set up for fording. It still has the fording cable and master cylinder has the vent line connected. So your...

    Windshield wiper question.

To check if the pump works, remove the two rubber hoses that supplies the pump/lever ONE AT A TIME. When you pull the lever upwards, feel the pump hose fitting with your index finger. You should feel suction. This is the hose fitting for the windshield washer fluid reservoir. Disconnect the...

    M151A2's Finally Home

Someone also suggested that you should tack weld the nuts behind the dash for the passenger grab handle because once you installed the heater, there's no way to get your hand back there to install the nuts. Do it as well for the nuts in the windshield hinges if you want to install a passenger...

    Installing a ROPS onto a m151a1

Make sure your tank doesn't need anything doing before you put the ROPS. I removed my tank in my A2 and had to undo the middle section of the ROPS to free the tank. Very fiddly and time consuming:evil:

    Harbor freight to the rescue

Wow a USMC A1 ! Is the camo original? I noticed it has some sort of a bracket on the transmission cover. Is this a remnant of a USMC locking device?

    Finaly got another MUTT

For m60's and 50 cal's, it will clear the bar. I'm not sure, but you might need to use a universal pintel adapter to mount a m240. Here is a pic of mine Forums for anyone interested in the M151 Jeep • View topic - My MUTT at the Philippine Int'l Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

    Finaly got another MUTT

I have seen sun faded data plates in brownish colour. The weight and dimension data plate with black letters/numbers comes with the ROPS kit, as it has to include the weight of the roll bars on the gross vehicle weight. Looking forward to seeing pics. Congratulations.
