    As far as expected run time, I'm not guessing more than 72 hrs. So stuff like the water heater, stove, and furnace could be used one at a time.

    Thanks all for the replies. I don't need to run everything at once in the house. Just the heat, fridge, freezer, and a couple lights or tv. As far as cost for the furnace vs propane, it's not much different. Natural gas is a lot cheaper though. It's just the install is a bit cheaper.

    At most truck scales, there are separate pads to park on. Just make sure your front and rear tires are on separate pads and you will get front, rear, and total weights at once.

    The coops at the West bound lane of I90 at the Sd/Mn border say for all vehicles over 8 (iirc) thousand pounds must enter. I think the one on I90 Eastbound between Sturgis and Rapid are the same way. I've gone past both with my pickup pulling a trailer and never been bothered.
