Sooooooo.... starting, running and stopping now...

Little bit of oil looking down on harmonic balancer on the front cover. Lower is bad. Oil pan is covered and front end will never rust.

Sooooooo.... starting, running and stopping now...

Previous owner had 5 gallons of oil stuffed in the storage box on driver side... looks fishy to me

Sooooooo.... starting, running and stopping now...

Well, POOP!! Drove around the block and noticed the oil pressure was around 10 at idle when I stopped. Looked under truck and oil everywhere. Checked the dipstick. .. no bueno! How hard is front seal to change?

    10-4 thanks

    Air pack.

Everything gone through... good to go. I did use just under a gallon on mine just to make sure everything was flushed out good. Shouldn't need that much to rebleed after air pack install

    Air pack.

https://m.facebook.com/MidwestJeepWillys/ ordered air pack Monday. 459.95 SHIPPED! Should have it Friday. Cheapest I found.

    Air pack.

I was only asking if air in the lines would keep the air pack from working so I could order one, if need be. The only thing I would be saving money on would be the fluid, because I would have to rebleed the system after replacement. I plan on in flushing the entire system when im sure its all...

    Air pack.

If the brake lines have air, will that keep the air valve from opening? I have a really soft pedal that doesn't pump up hard. I know there's air in there, but I don't want to waste money on fluid if it's not going to do anything.

    Multi-Fuel Engine won't start - Compression??

But, yes, it will be tagged and driven. I'll be putting my 85 wagoneer in the bed and trailering one of my commandos behind it for trips to the woods and camping. Main reason for getting the deuce was because I have 4 jeeps to move around. 97 wrangler is tagged and driven, but if I break...

    Multi-Fuel Engine won't start - Compression??

False joy on the air pack. Not working. Found one for 409. Need it going by next weekend, so I don't have time to try a rebuild and scramble for a unit if rebuild doesn't work.

    Multi-Fuel Engine won't start - Compression??

WOOHOO!!!!!!! went ace and got a 55 cent spring... installed in fuel delivery valve STARTS ON IT'S OWN NOW. That put me at 2k for the truck, 1.02 for the hh clip, 45.00 for the overflow tee I probably didn't need, and 55 cents for the spring. I'm into this truck for 2046.57. Tagging it monday...

    Multi-Fuel Engine won't start - Compression??

Correct. I did not get the spring. From what I understand, the spring is sized for length and tension when calibrating the hh when building and testing. I could be wrong, but , I would need the length on the old spring. I have part of it that I could match up for tension and diameter. Now...

    Multi-Fuel Engine won't start - Compression??

Can't hurt to try... unless, kaboom, of course

    Multi-Fuel Engine won't start - Compression??

But, how will I know the fine line between futility and kaboom?

    Multi-Fuel Engine won't start - Compression??

Should I just open it up all the way and see if it starts? I'll count the turns in case it doesn't help. If it starts, just back it off til it doesnt?

    Multi-Fuel Engine won't start - Compression??

Changed the overflow valve. Runs better, but still won't start without help. The spring for the delivery valve looks broken, but it might have been cut to size for hh calibration. Seems that, if it runs fine, it opens the injectors. That would mean the problem is elsewhere.

    Air pack.

Fixed the air pack... removed it, took apart the cap where air hooks up, put a wrench on little nut (5/16"), and freed the plunger. Little wiggling and it moved freely. Reinstalled unit and it works. Need to bleed brake system and all should be good. Pump them a few times to get pedal and 1st...
