I haul my m-38CDN and M-100 trailer on a 16 foot utility trailer... what I have done is mount a 2500 lb ATV winch in a box on the tounge of the Utility trailer. Then I placed a piece of steel channel (2" wide by 1/2" deep) up the center of the trailer with the flat down. I load the jeep first...

I will be there in the M-38... Will be driving it down from Del City...

If that is a M-38 CDN (Canadian) there will be a CAR number stamped into the frame on the drivers side top rail between the bumper and the radiator like this 52-3XXXX... It may be under the winch mount... The M-38 CDN was built from Feb 52 to Nov 52 and only 2145 were built... there will be...

The original mounts for the M-1008 - 10028 vehicles used 1/4x20 Rivnuts which are like poprivets and set into the steel with a special tool... if they do not pull out they will need to be cut off with a dremel tool or grinder...
