Sounds like your saying the Isolator would just stop things on the side it was backward (be it the 12 or 24v side) leaving the one that is correct still working? Thus in some respects may not be quickly noticeable. Jump was tried earlier. Am diagnosing "after effects". Not got whole story...

when towing an FMTV there is glad hands for towing brakes. Agree on appropriately sized Safety chain(s)/strap(s) . Not sure if the Ibis came with them but most assuredly if not; should be added. So that solved main question is where is the weaknesses and could they be reinforced.

Question is could a competent welder reinforce the Ibis bar to avoid the failures. If so....... what areas need reinforcement? Maybe add a safety chain so if it came apart all it could do is run into your own Arse?
