Your NP208 32 spline input shaft is GOLD!

I just seen the parts truck on Craigslist and talked to the owner. He's looking for numbers but not finding anything. I told him there should be a tag on it. Was there more than one t-case option in '90? He's going to call me back if he finds anything. For right now I just need something that...

You guys got my attention. I just wasted another np208. Would a '90 chevy 1 ton have the np241c?

CUCV Snow Plow Trucks and Spreaders

@cucvrus Once I crawled under the truck with those braces I see what I was doing wrong. Tomorrow I'll get them bolted on, if I have a drill bit big enough lol.

CUCV Snow Plow Trucks and Spreaders

Well it certainly looks like I shouldn't have any problems by your pictures. I held them in place real quick to look and they were against the sway bar. I just got the headgear and pushbeam mounted today so I'll try them again after I warm up some.

CUCV Snow Plow Trucks and Spreaders

No, I was looking locally. The only truck I have is my M1008 so not into long drives.

CUCV Snow Plow Trucks and Spreaders

After at least 3 years looking for a complete plow set up for my M1008 I finally found one that hasn't been bubba'd beyond recognition. After last year's 4' of snow in my driveway there's no way I was going to pass this up. 2 hour ride into PA to pick it up turned into 4.5 hour ride home in low...

    Our BRDM2 chemical recon vehicle

I was going to stop and get a few more pictures but when I drove by, it's no longer at the garage.

    Our BRDM2 chemical recon vehicle

Oh ok, I kinda figured he was local to Binghamton NY seems the vehicle is there. Oh well, guess I won't get to talk to the owner lol. As long as I can find the keys when SHTF :ROFLMAO:

    tree vs. cucv m1008

I'm much the same way with certain vehicles. Like it or not, they grow on you. If I were in your shoes I think I would be looking for a good frame. From what I can see in the pictures the body is in amazing condition. My M1008 is suffering from cancer. And I still won't put her down. I like the...

    tree vs. cucv m1008

cucvrus is is 100% on, that frame will never be right even if the best body man straightened it. The structural integrity will be gone and it will bend over time of just driving it. Good time to start fresh with a good frame, clean blast and fresh paint.

    M1031 Build Thread

Lmao I'm in the opposite situation. Have a M1008 and rather find someone scrapping a M1031 body

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Been too busy with other projects to do much with my 1008 but now kinda have to. Returned a plate compactor to the rental shop and before I got a mile away headed home had no brakes. Today looked for a leak, couldn't find it, even with someone pushing the brake pedal. Started the truck and had...

    Cold Weather and CUCV's

Was diesel, I don't use bio after October to be sure I don't have issues later. I don't remember what additive I was using. I've since seen test showing not all winter additives are good at what the claim. I usually dump about 5 gallons of kero per tank of diesel. No science to it, just a guess lol.

    Cold Weather and CUCV's

I gelled 3 times last winter running additive. End of last winter and this winter mixing kero in, haven't gelled once. Still not running a block heater either. In the coldest days I cycle the glow plugs twice before starting and it fires right off. Been very happy with this truck. Used to laugh...

CUCV Snow Plow Trucks and Spreaders

A loader would be great! I was looking for one for my tractor but other priorities put that way low on the list. It's an old Ford 860 power master. Think a '58. Lot of HP for a small tractor but can only do so much with a back blade. Of course chains on the tires would help, but man they are...

CUCV Snow Plow Trucks and Spreaders

That's generally how I do it. Plow everything downhill until I dont have space to put it. Then have tons of snow melt off next to my home, which I don't like.

CUCV Snow Plow Trucks and Spreaders

No longer have a welder, sold it because we don't have enough amperage available. Turns out the plow already sold, within a half hour after it was listed. Still have a line on 2 more that came off square bodies. One is still mounted on a truck that's sat in the brush for at least 15 years that...
