I don’t support your idea. This is NOT an old beat up Chevy/Ford/Dodge truck. It just doesn’t lend itself to this idea.
I might have auto jacks and jack stands hand to hold body up to allow slipping the new bushings into place. I might loosen several at a time to allow body to pull away from frame to allow access.
Should be straightforward if my prior experiences are any indication.
I posted about a similar problem. Disconnect your exhaust and see if the problem goes away. If that’s the case, then your catalytic converter is clogged. These vehicles have huge problems with the catalytic converters like a clogged during prolonged idle. The military likes to idle their trucks...

I went through this and ultimately decided on a new unit. I am much happier with my decision because I never need to look back and say “what if”. The price of rebuilt is not attractive enough to make any other decision in my mind. Replacing an injection pump in these vehicles...
Plenty of posts on opening IP and turning 1/6 turn and advancing IP.
Assuming you don’t want to pull your IP to adjust… there is a skill to finding the ball tipped Alan key area to turn
