    No Brake Lights on M1009

Was the turn signal switch for me too. I had to use a steering wheel puller along with the steering lock plate removal tool. Rented both from Autozone and got my brake lights working again after a guy pulled up next to me at a red light and told me he saw my blinkers, but no brake lights... I...

Just got into Clarksville the day after Christmas. Passed a really clean looking M1009 with fresh paint lifted maybe 4 inches with 35s or so yesterday running down Tiny Town Rd. Thought I'd check in here to see who's local. 1984 M1009 with roof rack is my ride.

    Oil/Trans Cooler lines

Amazon had ACDelco 12472199 and 12472200 as well as the lower oil cooler pipe 14061345. Nalley has that one as well. Nalley also lists the upper oil cooler pipe as 15549142 in place of 14061344. The website said the earliest it fits is the 1987 model years. They also state that 14061345 fits...

    Oil/Trans Cooler lines

From what I read in this thread, the AC Delco lines will fit, but will require some work to make them fit right. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?46745-M1008-M1009-CUCV-Oil-Cooler-Line-Failure&highlight=AC+Delco EDIT: Meant to say Dorman. But I got mine in and they do NOT fit...

    M1009 Heater Blower Motor/Switch

Ok so I will be moving back up to TN in a few months and I want to get my heater working before then I've done a bit of searching here as well as in the TMs. Its like trying to drink from a fire hydrant, lol. The TMs seem to keep directing me toward the M1010 heater. Not sure if I am using...

    Oil/Trans Cooler lines

Yup. Parts guy at the local dealership said it didn't exist anymore and he referred me to someone I town who might be able to make them. Left a message with him and I also have the local salvage yard checking their lot for me as well. Thanks for the help gents.

    Oil/Trans Cooler lines

Pulled my radiator and power steering pump this weekend to replace them both. Had to cut some of the metal lines as they were seized in there. I read a review stating that the aftermarket lines might not be as good a quality as the OE stuff. Does anyone know where I can find the hard oil...

Hey BeltFed, sorry for the late pics. I forgot I took them a few days ago and then was over in that area again and it reminded me of this thread when I saw them... The pics below show how large the base plate is and then they secur the plate with tie downs vs bolting it in so that they can...

Questions on Wiring APC Dome Light.

Yeah I don't have that buss bar. I get 24v to the one under the hood behind the battery, so I think I'll just wire it in there. Thanks. ETA: Wired in to the buss bar under the hood with a 15a fuse and working good. Thanks guys.

Questions on Wiring APC Dome Light.

That's the "radio terminal board" next to the fuel filter assembly in the -20 correct? I plugged the wire into the "12. 10 amp/28 v (Voltmeter) Fuse" spot on the fuse block and the light will only come on with the headlights and the brightness adjusts when I turn the headlight knob to adjust...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

THIS! Got my wiper arms back in. Cleaned the corrosion out of the windshield washer "nozzles" and got them to spray a nice volume, but they spray inconsitantly so I think it's the switch on the column (I also have turn signal issues there). I had two bends in one of the arms so I used a...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Pulled my wiper linkage. Gonna scrub it down, repaint and grease everything up so they run faster/smoother. Looks like one arm of the linkage is bent, which seems to be a possible cause of slow/jerky operation. I also cleaned all electrical contacts in the wiper system. I'd rather not bypass...
