    NJ owners?

I’m trying to pull local owners together for some camaraderie and camping etc. The pine barrens are a easy to access spot I discovered. Perhaps I should make a public Facebook page for the NJ crowd if enough people are interested. Let me know if you are “local” for this and interested in...

Alternator rebuild based on .... Very good and detailed info!!! I just ordered a new unit but intend on having the old one rebuilt and shelved as a back up. I'll try to document the rebuild and photograph based on what you are describing. Illustrating what actually fails would be a good...

HMMWV- Lights - Which wire to tap into

Just purchased the kit. Easy install. Just incredibly hard to access the cluster of plugs for the tail light as they were encased in a metal shield. That will take some time. Otherwise looks great. Thanks for the tip. Did you end up needing the grounding wire included? Not sure if it is...

    Is my EESS fried?

Found out that TSU doesn't need to be changed. Even tried to adj the 60amp alternator and had it running at 28.2 Volts out put for a day. Next day was seeing massive spikes in Volt meter when revving. Shut down and will replace the starter box with new one, glow plugs as there was a severe...

    Is my EESS fried?

Consulted with tech staff at thosemilitaryguys and they stated they have been successful upgrading to the newer EESS without upgrading TSU, never having a problem. But I did some work on the vehicle this past weekend, just swapped out the batteries with some grp. 34 1000 ampers and installed...

Very happy to have the truck. Time to tinker! In prep, have Kascar grounding harness ready to go as I knew that would be important. Will install, then replace with new group 34 batteries. Worst case, new box. Will upgrade to the S3. Received mixed info on the (correct term?)..TSU. If...

Finally received my M998. Batteries are sulfated probably, They jumped/started it to load onto the carrier but would not resort. Initially told him the correct way to connect the cables, still didn't have amps to crank over but the wait light would light and go out properly. Time the driver...

X-Door weather seals - Removal & Install tips

Gotcha👍 I see what you mean about the trim getting hammered and closing... especially around the corners. Good idea to lubricate prior for the removal. Will look at various tooling to accomplish what you are referring to with the opener. I'll record what I can and if or what works I'll...
